Be Safe This Christmas

Be Safe This Christmas

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat,
Don't put pennies in the burglars hat.

Please make sure all your door and windows locks are in working order and use them when out or even when in your home.

Use your alarm if fitted.

Don't put on display wrapped up presents that can be seen through a window. Especially if there's a lit up Christmas tree nearby.

Don't put cardboard boxes that were used to deliver your new television or valuable electrical products outside beside your bin. Pull them apart and put in the bin or take to the local waste disposal site. More »

All new Christmas items will have a model number and serial number. Plus new bikes have frames numbers- make a note of these. This applies to items already in your household.

Consider property marking items with your post code and house number.
Furthermore if you have had a bin collection in your road and your neighbour's emptied bin is still on the road, and they are out, be courteous and thoughtful, put it up the driveway out of sight. Empty bins on a road after a collection suggest an empty house.

Give us a chance we'll nick your car.

Anyone with a keyless system for their car should consider a Faraday pouch. It stops radio signals from your car fob when inside the house with the key inside. These can be bought at most garages and accessary shops.
Or you could try putting your fobs in a biscuit tin.
Do not leave items on display in your vehicle. » Less
